The Heart (قلب) is the first of the five innermost Lata’if, the place where love and longing are awakened and the journey Home begins. It precedes Ruh, and its color is yellow. It took several attempts for me to arrive at a solution for Qalb; it’s only when I started thinking of the word combining with itself that an idea emerged. Originally I envisioned the center as octagonal, but the final circle tied it into a whole.
