Stillness (sukûn) is a state of inner silence, where the mind’s chatter has been paused, that is a necessary condition of accessing the divine voice within. Grammatically, the sukûn is an inflection that indicates silence; in the Science of Letters described by Ibn Arabi, it symbolizes the unuttered Word.
The design was constructed around a single dot for the four ن , acting as still core to a whirling motion.
